Im a local woodworker looking for trees to mill for my projects. If you have to have a red oak tree cut down and removed, talk to your arborist about letting me take the trunk section. It could save you up to $500 on your bill. I have a self-loading logs trailer, so I can pick it up with no problem as long as it's accessible by vehicle. Id also settle for white oak. Other species id consider are black Locust, walnut, cedar, Juniper, and Russian Olive.
