We continue to provide groundbreaking medical care to the festival community. We continue to create a model for festival health and wellness in Colorado, and the across the country! And now. . .It's time to sign up to volunteer for Sonic Bloom 2019!!
GMS IS PROVIDING A STIPEND TO MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS!!!!!!!!! This stipend is in addition to the benefits we have offered in previous years such as your free pass to the festival, pass for a friend, meals, etc.
Stipends will be allocated as follows:
Shift Supervisors and Operations Managers: $200
Paramedics or other ALS providers: $200
Registered Nurses with ER and/or ICU experience: $150
RNs with other experience or RNs with <1 year exp: $100
Psychiatric Professionals (with a degree): $100
**You must work 3 shifts to receive the stipend. No decreased stipends for fewer shifts.**
Festival Dates: Thursday June 20th to Monday June 24th. GMS will provide full 24 hour staffing from 0800 on Thursday, June 20th to 1600 on Monday June 24th at 1600.
We divide shifts as follows:
Day shift: 0800 to 1600
Swing shift: 1600 to 0000
Night shift: 0000 to 0800
We also offer a limited number of spots for set-up and take-down shifts. The set-up shift is Wednesday, June 19th from 1200 to 2000. The take down shift is on Tuesday, June 25th from 0800 to 1600. We typically have a lot of interest in these shifts and there are only two slots available on each shift. Also, preference goes to non-medical volunteers, since we want you medical folks to actually treat patients during the festival.
Location: Hummingbird Ranch, Rye, Colorado
If you work three, 8 hour shifts you will receive the following volunteer package:
Staff all access pass
Guest general admission pass
3 meals a day for you (not guests) throughout the entire festival
Your stipend (if you are a medical professional)
Can’t work all 3 shifts? No problem.
If you work 2 shifts, you will get a pass to the festival for yourself (but not a guest,) a camping pass for the festival, and meals while you are working.
If you work one shift, you will receive a pass to the festival for the day you are working and meals during your shift.
Scheduling is first come, first serve and dependent on the needs for that shift.
**Please be aware: Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer agreement and put down a $300 deposit that will be returned to you on the last day of the festival.**

Groove Medical Services is a non-profit organization pending 501(c)3 approval that provides full service medical care, safety planning, and educational services to large events, mass gatherings, and in any setting where local resources are unable to meet the demand of a temporary population surge. Our focus is on the health and safety of participants, artists, staff, and vendors, so everyone involved can stay in the “Groove” – whether working, performing, or attending as a spectator. We are the only non-profit company of our kind, and we provide the highest level of medical care available outside of a hospital setting.
