Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical systems, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Fleet experience is a plus. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of all components and systems used on trailers that haul heavy loads.
Responsibilities:
Repair a wide range of trailers including dry vans, flatbeds, box, utility, step deck, cargo, liftgate, curtain, belly dump, frac, and Big Tex trailers.
Repair and/or rebuild trailers according to daily schedules.
Install, repair, and plug tires as needed.
Inspect, service, and replace trailer components.
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, doors, floors, and side panels.
Troubleshoot and repair air and hydraulic brake systems.
Diagnose and repair suspension issues.
Perform light fabrication including cutting, grinding, and welding as needed (not mandatory).
Weld metal parts using MIG welding on steel.
Complete work orders in a timely manner.
Accurately document completed work for invoicing purposes.
Perform weekly preventative maintenance.
Maintain organization and care of the service truck, tools, and equipment.
Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with team members to improve productivity and efficiency.
Maintain strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and job-specific equipment.
Experience welding steel (MIG).
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work in various physical positions for extended periods.
Strong knowledge of safety standards and proper PPE usage.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Willing to work 40+ hours per week with possible overtime.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Ability to pass background and driver’s license screening
Benefits:
Seven (7) paid holidays
Schedule: Full-Time | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
