Imagine yourself waking up in this unique handcrafted hobbit house. With a cup of tea in hand you open the door and find yourself surrounded by nature.
Hi. I make unique handcrafted playhouses, shed, office space, guestroom, camper. My work is very detail and if you are looking for something unique I am your guy. My work is all about the experience. Creating magical spaces for all ages.
from small playhouses to office spaces, and campers. You will get a quality unique structure designed to meet your needs. I work by commission so if you are ready for your project this is the time to build it before materials go up again.
Growing up in Guatemala during the Civil War, I did not have access to toys or designated places to play. As a result, my friends and I began creating simple structures using branches and any materials we could find. Though modest in form, these structures were filled with imagination and magic, transporting us to other worlds and serving as safe havens—not only for ourselves, but also for younger children. Within those spaces, we were free to be children, to play, and to feel safe.
Years later, when I became a parent in Colorado, I felt inspired to create similarly meaningful spaces for my own children—places where imagination, creativity, and play could thrive. The first playhouse I built was inspired by hobbit-hole architecture and fairy-tale designs. Over time, I watched my children use the space in many ways: first with baby toys, then kitchen sets, dolls, and Legos, and eventually as a quiet reading area as they grew older. Seeing how the space evolved alongside them inspired me to share this experience with others.
To date, I have built over 30 custom structures, including playhouses, sheds, treehouses, jungle gyms, meditation rooms, office spaces, she-sheds, craft rooms, and guest rooms. I am now expanding into building mobile structures on wheels as micro-living spaces. These off-grid creations are designed to be fully self-sustaining and portable, featuring solar power, a kitchen and sink, a bed, and all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. This concept goes beyond glamping—it is about the experience of living simply while embracing what nature has to offer.
As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, I bring my full range of creative skills into every build. Each structure is thoughtfully crafted and infused with charm, ensuring that no two pieces are alike and that each creates a lasting, meaningful experience.
Like many artists and builders, I have faced challenges, particularly in today’s economy. Selling my work has been difficult at times, but I continue moving forward with the hope that people will discover my work and connect with its purpose and value.
As a color-blind artist, I developed my own distinctive style and techniques. For many years, I viewed my inability to see color as a limitation. However, through learning to paint using movement, dance, and tactile awareness, I discovered a unique and expressive approach that defines my work today. What we often perceive as a weakness can, in fact, become our greatest strength when we learn to embrace it.
One of my most cherished childhood memories is of my father sitting by my bed each morning, sharing stories and wisdom. Before leaving, he would kiss me and remind me of his only request: to be a good person—honest and humble. That lesson continues to guide my life and work.
