This role is ideal for someone with basic woodworking skills who is eager to grow in a professional fabrication environment. A large part of this position includes picking up materials from vendors and delivering materials or components to job sites, so a clean driving record and comfort driving a box truck is required.
You will work alongside experienced woodworkers and fabricators, assisting with shop tasks, material handling, and production work while developing your skills.
This has the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Assist woodworkers in building custom furniture, casework, and millwork
Perform basic woodworking tasks using solid wood, plywood, veneer, and laminates
Help with shop organization, material preparation, and assembly
Safely operate basic shop tools and equipment
Pick up materials from local vendors and deliver materials to the shop or job sites
Drive a company box truck when needed for deliveries and pickups
Support installation teams on local job sites when needed
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
Basic woodworking skills or familiarity with woodshop tools
Clean driving record (required)
Ability to safely drive a box truck
Ability to lift materials and work in an active shop environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work well in a team environment
Reliable and punctual
