We are seeking an experienced, skilled metal welder to take on the responsibility of working in our welding department
Welder Requirements and Responsibilities:
A solid understanding of working with and welding steel and aluminum
MIG welding experience preferably with furniture and high end projects
Experienced with various shop equipment (saw, shear, TIG and MIG welding machines, dial calipers, grinders and polishing equipment)
Experience with coloring and finishing metal
Understanding of how to read shop/detail drawings.
Strong math skills are required.
Self reliant, independent and self confident worker, who can learn quickly and retain learned skills
Must also work well with others and effectively communicate needs for each project.
This is a physically demanding job at times, you will be on your feet all day
You may be required to work on different job sites in the field, occasionally.
Position Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of experience in a professional woodworking or fabrication shop
Strong technical understanding of custom furniture and/or millwork production
Proven ability to read drawings, cut lists, and production documents
Valid, active driver’s license
Preferred:
3+ years of experience managing or leading a team of 5+ employees
Installation experience (local and/or national)
Familiarity with metal fabrication processes
Experience coordinating labor hours against project budgets
