Bison Ridge Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman for projects in the Denver Metro area, Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. Must have at least 5 years’ experience doing flat work for land development projects including curb, gutter, sidewalks, trickle channels, etc. Applicants must have their own finishing tools.
The Concrete Foreman will manage a crew of 3 to 7 people and needs to have experience with form setting and finishing, layout, grading, and reading/understanding plans. This field-based position will work closely with the entire project team including the Concrete Superintendent, estimators/project managers, and inspectors. Duties and Responsibilities
• Review project plans to ensure construction is completed according to specifications
• Work with and oversee crew to ensure project is completed safely and according to the approved plans and within the project schedule
• Plan and oversee all site activities including demo, forming, pouring and concrete finishing
• Order materials, equipment and supplies to maintain highest productivity
• Schedule testing and inspections as required to maintain workflow
• Provide leadership and direction to crew while emphasizing safety, quality and production
• Work closely with Superintendents to verify the project scope, schedule and budget
• Conduct daily meetings with crews to review schedule, production goals, and safety and get feedback from employees.
• Ensure all employees comply with company safety procedures. Immediately correct and document any unsafe conditions
• Administrative tasks including daily electronic time sheet entry, equipment logs, change orders, and uploading progress photographs
• Train and motivate employees
• Ensure all field personnel are using proper PPE
• Set forms to desired pitch, depth and alignment
• Check forms for proper construction
• Spread, level and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screed and float
• Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointer and straight edge
• Produce rough concrete surface using brooms
• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
• Apply surface treatments
• Place wire mesh and/or place and tie rebar
• Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools
• Clean and maintain all tools and equipment
• Safely operate power tools (demo saws, grinders, circular saws, drills, laser levels, compaction equipment, generators, air compressors, etc.)
• Work safely at all times, observing all company policies, OSHA Regulations, and site-specific requirements and policies
• Must have a collaborative attitude and willingness to perform any work that is required including general labor tasks which may include shoveling, lifting, etc.
• Must be able to work overtime including Saturdays
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills Required
• 5+ years’ experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 and basic First Aid training
• Able to read and understand plans and specifications
• Able to read and properly interpret survey grade stakes
• Knowledge of proper care, maintenance, and operation of tools and equipment
• Able to supervise the work of others and clearly communicate instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
Must be physically fit and able to perform activities including: frequent use of hands, arms, legs and whole body; long periods of balance, standing or sitting; frequent walking, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and/or lifting; constant handling of tools used during form setting and concrete finishing; heavy lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling in excess of 75 pounds. Must be able to work in all weather conditions including very hot, cold and wet conditions.
Work Reporting Locations
Foremen and/or Supervisors will inform employees of the work reporting location; the location will vary depending on project location; employees are expected to have reliable transportation to and from the work reporting location.

Wage range $28 - $40/hr depending on experience.
