Wheelhouse Construction is seeking an experienced, Licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our growing commercial plumbing division.
We are looking for a plumber who currently holds an active Colorado Journeyman Plumbing License and has experience working on commercial construction and renovation projects. This position offers steady year-round work, competitive compensation, and opportunities for advancement within a growing company.
No residential service calls. Commercial construction and renovation work only.
Position Summary
The Licensed Journeyman Plumber will perform commercial plumbing installations, renovations, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of multifamily, hospitality, office, and commercial projects throughout the Denver Metro area and Front Range.
This individual must be capable of working independently, reading plans, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
Responsibilities
*Install, repair, and modify commercial plumbing systems
*Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
*Install water, waste, vent, gas, and fixture systems
*Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues in the field
*Coordinate work with project managers, superintendents, and other trades
*Maintain compliance with all plumbing codes and safety requirements
*Assist in material planning and jobsite coordination
*Mentor apprentice plumbers as needed
*Maintain a professional appearance and attitude on all jobsites
Minimum Qualifications Required
*Active Colorado Journeyman Plumbing License
*Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing experience
*Ability to read and understand construction drawings
*Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and industry standards
*Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
*Reliable transportation to and from job sites
*Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
*Multifamily renovation experience
*Occupied-unit renovation experience
*Hospitality and hotel renovation experience
*Service and troubleshooting experience
*Leadership experience directing apprentices
