Humane Colorado is seeking a full time Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep our animal shelters safe, clean, and operating efficiently for the animals, staff, volunteers, and community members we serve.
Location: Denver, CO
Pay: $20.80 to $24.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule:
40 hours per week
Four 10 hour shifts
Sunday through Wednesday
Rotating on call schedule for emergency response
What You'll Do
Maintain and repair facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical equipment, and building infrastructure
Perform grounds maintenance including landscaping, mowing, snow removal, and general property upkeep
Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
Assist with minor carpentry, painting, kennel repairs, equipment maintenance, and event setup
Help ensure our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and fully operational
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record
At least one year of general facilities maintenance experience
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, and grounds maintenance
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
Vocational or technical training
OSHA 10 certification
Experience maintaining medical equipment
Experience towing trailers
