Position: Class-A/B Driver
Reports To: Field Manager
Employment type: Full Time
Location: Deliveries primarily in Metro Denver area
Hours: 40-50 hours per week Monday through Friday
Bear Excavating needs a qualified driver to make deliveries in the Denver metro area. Some construction experience is required as deliveries will occasionally include equipment moves. Our drivers are an important part of keeping projects on schedule and they must be able to make on-time deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
General Responsibilities:
Conduct a Daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report any issues to shop/management
Observe, Inspect, and Report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
Ensures truck is ready for next day's business
Pick up and deliver smaller equipment and construction materials to designated locations
Occasionally operate tandem dump trucks or water trucks (take for service, smogs e.t.c.)
Qualifications:
CDL Class A or B - minimum 4 years experience as a driver
Self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
Ability to safely operate in a fast-paced environment and in all types of weather conditions
Previous construction experience is a plus
Must be able to pass federal background check
Clean driving record required
DOT physical and drug test required
Knowledge of Denver Metro area, ability to read Maps and use and understand GPS units
Must be able to drive stick shift
