Oliver 51A speed lathe from 1948 in excellent condition. I bought it from a friend who restored it the early 2000’s. It’s been lightly used and well cared for since I bought it.
3/4hp, 3 phase (easily run with a phase converter or VFD), 4 speed (600, 1200, 1800 and 3600rpm).
Lathe is all cast iron and weighs about 600 lbs. It’s a beast!
12” swing, 48” bed allows 24” of spindle length. #2 Morse taper, 1 1/8” spindle with adapters to 1 1/4” and 1” spindle.
Comes with the Zambus casters, accessories shown in the pictures and an extra nonworking motor.
