Things to know:
- Blades probably need sharpening
- Belt needs replacement
- A part on the guard assembly, referred to in manuals as the "Cutter Guard" - Part 12 in the attached image, is bent, and needs replacement. Here is a forum discussion: https://www.woodworkingtalk.com/threads/craftsman-jointer-planer.59410/
- Could use a blade guard. I believe these are readily available.
- Some surface rust, should clean right up.
- HEAVY. bring help to move - it is top heavy, and the stand, which is the only place to lift it, is made of sheet metal and is uncomfortable/sharp to lift, so bring gloves and 2-3 strong people.
