I have a LoggerHead Tools 8" Adjustable Alloy Steel Bionic Wrench that is in like-new condition. Invented by Chicago-area engineer, Dan Brown, the Bionic Wrench by LoggerHead Tools was launched in 2005. Its patented design combines the ease of use of a pair of pliers with the versatility of an adjustable wrench, featuring six overlapping jaws that close concentrically to grip fasteners on all six flat sides. The Bionic Wrench operates on a cam mechanism. As you squeeze the ergonomic handles, the jaws close like a camera shutter. This design provides multiple benefits: 1) No sizing needed - The tool automatically adjusts to both metric and standard (SAE) bolts simply by squeezing the handle. 2) Prevents stripping - By gripping all six sides of a nut or bolt rather than just the corners, it evenly distributes force over 240 degrees, which prevents the wrench from slipping and rounding off bolt heads.
