Colorado Information Technology Systems is a Denver-based Managed Service Provider in the IT (Information Technology) field. We are looking for a part-time IT Consultant to provide technical consulting services for our clients around metro Denver. This person will be responsible for reviewing IT infrastructure and providing onsite and remote technical support. We are looking for a self-motivated person with:
Excellent customer service skills
The ability to ‘own’ a tech support case from ticket opening until resolution
Excellent communication skills: oral and written
The ability to work with little supervision
We prefer a B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience

The following technical skills are preferred:
Excellent troubleshooting skills
PC troubleshooting and repair – MUST have experience with troubleshooting of PC hardware
Microsoft Active Directory Administration
Microsoft 365 management
Windows 10/7/Vista/XP
Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 administration
Microsoft Azure familiarity
Microsoft Office Suite
Microsoft and Cisco Certifications will be helpful but are not required
Basic Networking (TCPIP/DNS/Domains/DHCP/LAN/WAN) including the configuration of managed switches – Must be prepared to explain how each of these technologies is used
Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of peripherals such as scanners, printers, etc.
Experience with network design and network security
Experience with Cloud technologies, migrations and integrations
Microsoft HyperVisor virtual machine management or VMWare management
Cloud Storage
IT Security/Network Assessments Tools
SonicWALL firewall setup, configuration, and maintenance
An understanding of 802.11 wireless networking
Basic understanding of Cyber Security and risk mitigation
Maintain excellent documentation for all clients and all IT support work performed using our software and ticketing system




Attendance
We require a 20 hour workweek for the first 6 months, either the morning shift: 8 AM to 12 noon, or the afternoon shift: 1 PM to 5 PM), after which a regular full-time schedule (5-day work week) will be required. At times due to work load, extra hours may be required to complete the functions of the job. May have to work off-hours and partially on weekends as the need arises. Applicant must have own vehicle to visit client sites around town. Applicant will work with end users through phone support or onsite visits. Candidate must agree to a background check and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
