About the Role
We’re looking for an IT & Cyber Operations Specialist who isn’t afraid to challenge the
status quo. This hybrid, contract-to-hire role supports clients who have subscribed to our
Cyber Risk Mitigation and Managed IT Services program — a service built to bridge the
traditional divide between IT and Security.
In this position, you’ll be part of a small but mighty team that thrives on collaboration,
communication, and curiosity. We believe secure operations don’t come from silos — they
come from people who can see the bigger picture. You’ll work hands-on with cloud
systems, devices, and data, making sure our clients’ environments remain efficient,
secure, and resilient. While much of the work can be completed remotely, you’ll also
collaborate onsite with our team to support client initiatives, device deployments, and
cross-functional operations.

What You’ll Do
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services, including user management, mail flow, and identity controls.
- Manage and deploy device policies via Intune, including Autopilot provisioning, compliance rules, and app management.
- Maintain Entra ID and Defender configurations aligned with zero-trust principles and least-privilege access.
- Support SharePoint and OneDrive administration for secure, frictionless collaboration.
- Provide tiered IT support for Windows and CloudPC endpoints, ensuring uptime and policy compliance.
- Oversee Apple Business Manager enrollment and MDM integration for macOS/iOS devices.
- Assist with forensic imaging, evidence handling, and eDiscovery collections (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams).
- Build automation/orchestration scripts using PowerShell, Graph API, and WMI to streamline operations.
- Collaborate across IT and Security realms to reduce friction and increase visibility across systems.
- Participate in onsite collaboration sessions or incident response activities when required.
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in M365 and IT systems administration or cybersecurity operations.
- Strong understanding of modern Microsoft 365 ecosystems — Intune, Entra ID, Defender, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
- Proven ability to script and automate tasks using PowerShell or similar tools.
- Familiarity with forensic workflows, data collection methods, or eDiscovery processes.
- Experience with Apple Business Manager and device lifecycle management a plus.
- A mindset that blends security awareness with operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills — you know how to translate technical insight into human language.
Nice-to-Have Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent

Position Details
- Type: Contract-to-Hire
- Location: Hybrid (Denver, Colorado); Onsite presence is required for certain meetings, collaborative sessions, or client project needs. We’ll work with you to plan ahead whenever possible. (U.S.-based required / Denver, Colorado)
- Schedule: Part-time; 20+ hours per week; flexible hours; hybrid days coordinated with the team.
- Travel: Minimal; primarily office-based when onsite
- Compensation: $35-$50/hour; Based on experience
- Misc: Drug test and background check required
