Power efficient: draws 1.5-3Amp. Boots to custom Linux distribution into Versa FlexVNS. This is a working system pull that boots. Console cable to access admin interface is included. The front display shows status, 4-button input (dependent on software). No software licenses are included.
Enabling boot-to-usb in bios would be only thing required to install a new OS. As a new device, it can be reimaged to run linux, windows (headless mode) for x64 Atom platform. Several online projects recommend using this server with open source software such as PFSense. Will ship, as-pulled, with a release of Versa FlexVNF on Linux (on-drive) but the root user password would need to be reset. This can be done with Linux tools.
Overall, functional and power efficient unit. With 8-core x64 Intel Atom, it could be perfect for home lab, firewall, disk storage, VoIP or VPN appliance.
