Hand-made by the late Bob Lum. Bob’s untimely demise in 2007 has made his work difficult to find. Don’t confuse this handmade custom-ordered knife with the common stuff that his name has been put on in the years since his death. For decades, mass-producers have imitated his designs on their factory assembly lines. Some of the makers who used Mr. Lum’s name after his death are Spyderco, Seki-Cut, Benchmade, and Schrade. A Lum knife with those names on it wasn’t made by Bob Lum.
$1500 is a bargain price; it's less than half what comparable Lums have sold for recently. (Google "Arizona Custom Knives" and search closed sales of Mr. Lum's knives. They recently sold a similar knife for $5000.00.)
