The SportsArt XT 10 is a professional exercise machine designed for health clubs like the Greenwood Health Club where I was first introduced to this equipment. It can be used in a home gym as I have done but it is heavy (340 lbs) and requires a professional exercise equipment moving company to move it.
The device is electrically powered by two generators - one is connected to the leg crank pedals and one is connected to the arm movement levers. The generators do two things (1) provide push button control over the resistance to peddling or arm movement and (2) create the electrical power that drives the display. The user has control over various exercise plans, like going up and down hills for short periods of high intensity followed by short intensity activity. The devise has a battery for keeping the display active during short periods of non-use, but the battery is is now dead. The device can perform all functions without a battery because the generators supply electrical power when in use. A battery replacement is available from suppliers.
Peddling and arm movement can be controlled independently or used separately of each other. A user guide is provided with this equipment.
