I have TWO bodyboards (i.e., "boogie boards"), $40 each. Could be used for river boarding or coastal surfing. Have too many boards now, and my wife wants some stuff gone.
1) Science Thunder 45" Blue deck, green bottom skin, PP core, 2 stringers, ~159mm thick
2) Custom 48" Pro Model Turbo Triple Fin Drop Knee, ~160+ mm thick
Would be excellent for a tall prone rider, like me (6'3").
I picked up the Pro Model Turbo Triple Fin from a tall guy who grew up in Hawaii and had the board custom made in the late 80s. He said he dropped in late at the The Wedge on this once and will never forget that feeling! I took it thinking it might suit a friend of mine as a stand-up river board, but that's not happening. This board, at 48" long, with three fins, strong rocker shape, travel bag and leash might be a fun board for an agile dude keen to standup on a river wave. The Hawaiian sand in the travel bag is included, no extra charge. You can see in the pic a perforation in the bottom skin of this board, but I've got a tube of Sponge Rez that should seal that up. I've never used Sponge Rez but would break it out for the fix if anyone is interested in this board.
You might be planning a bodyboarding trip and want a back-up board or you're trying River Boarding and don't want to spend a lot on a board that might get trashed or lost.
