Overview
Engineering Services are seeking a Solution Architect with hands-on expertise in da engineering and solution architecture. This position bridges the gap between high-level business requirements and technical execution, defining the architecture of scalable da pipelines, robust storage solutions, and high-performance analytics environments. The responsibilities include prototyping complex integrions and ensuring th da infrastructure is robust, secure, resilient, and optimized for scale-up. As a practitioner in this role, the Solution Architect will be responsible for transling business needs into technical solutions, leveraging your expertise to drive the design and implemention of da-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design: Lead the design of end-to-end solution and da architectures, including ingestion, processing, storage, and visualizion layers.
Infrastructure Stregy: Define cloud-nive or hybrid infrastructure stregies th support high-volume da processing and real-time analytics.
Hands-on Development: Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and core framework components for da pipelines (e.g. ETL) to ensure architectural feasibility.
Dabase Governance: Evalue and select approprie da stores (Relional, NoSQL, Graph, Vector) based on specific use-case requirements like lency, throughput, and consistency.
Performance Optimizion: Audit existing da systems to identify bottlenecks and implement stregies for cost-optimizion and query performance tuning.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership in ensuring best practices in various areas including CI/CD and documention.
Solution Architecture: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the corpore’s technology landscape, including applicions, da flows, and infrastructure, to identify opportunities for improvement and optimizion.
Legacy Modernizion: Experience migring on-premise infrastructure to cloud-nive architectures.
Containerizion: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying da services.
Cloud Infrastructure: Expert-level experience with least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their nive da services.
Da Processing: Strong proficiency in bch and stream processing.
Programming: Advanced coding skills in Python, or Java, along with expert-level SQL.
Dabase Systems: Extensive experience managing and querying various systems: Relional: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, NoSQL/NewSQL: MongoDB, Cassandra, Warehousing/Lakehouses: Snowflake, Dabricks, BigQuery.
Enterprise Architecture: Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, including business architecture, informion architecture, and technology architecture.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informion Systems, or a reled field.
Minimum of 15 years in IT, with least 4 years in a Solution Architect or Lead Da Engineer role.
Proven track record of delivering least two large-scale enterprise da plform migrions or greenfield builds.
Preferred qualificions and experience: The certificions are TOGAF, ITIL, or similar. AI/ML Integrion experience architecting Feure Stores and MLOps pipelines to support machine learning workflows. Governance Tools familiarity with da caloging and governance tools.
