Security Officer - Multisite - Full Time

Primary Location: Denver, CO

Wage: $20.47/HR - (increases at 6 months intervals)

Description:

This position guarantees 40 hours per week. Benefits include Kaiser medical plan, both PTO and sick time as well as a free Eco pass.

This officer will need to be available for multiple shifts; schedules are provided a week in advance and will be stationed at multiple locations.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.

• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.

   

• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.

   

• Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, etc.
• Assist in start-ups at new accounts to include working the site, writing post orders / training checklists, and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
• Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice and work during “high need” periods.
• Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicles; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, and unauthorized persons.

• Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. 

• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older. 
• High School Diploma or GED required. 
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience preferred. 
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills needed. 
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. 
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. 
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. 

• CPR, AED, and First aid certifications are a plus but are not needed for every site.

• Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. 

• Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. 

• Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
