The IDS North Unit is looking for a Delivery and Incoming Mail Specialist Specialist to provide support for mail operations, security of the North Campus and delivery driver with Division of Central Services (DCS) It provides support for critical infrastructure jobs and performs duties of a sensitive and vital nature for mail services, facility security and secure storage.
The Delivery and Incoming Mail Specialist will drive deliveries, provide support for mail operations, as well as security of the North Campus for DPA. It provides support for critical infrastructure jobs and performs duties of a sensitive and vital nature for mail services, facility security and secure storage.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Delivery driver – drives for the delivery unit to other State agency buildings 60%
Mail security – screen and process mail, detecting any harmful items before sending out to
Security desk – manage access to facility, including main entrance and gated parking lot
and delivery area
Campus security – coordinator and administrative support for facility safety and various
*Education and Experience:
At least two years of delivery driving experience that includes security in a locked facility
OR appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with mail screening x-ray equipment
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Previous experience with handling and sorting mail
Conditions of Employment:
A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Drivers License
Travel as a delivery driver
Shift Work - Must be able to work any shift
Effective September 20, 2021, employees will be required to attest to and verify that they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, or, submit to twice-weekly serial testing. Upon hire, new employees will have three (3) business days to provide attestation to their status with proof of vaccination, or begin twice-weekly serial testing for COVID-19.
Testing will be considered paid work time.
Note: Fully Vaccinated means two (2) weeks after a second dose in a two-dose series of the COVID-19 vaccine, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or two (2) weeks after the single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine, as defined by the State of Colorado’s Public Health Order and guidance issued by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment.
