Since 2006, Security Surveillance System has specialized in commercial security cameras, wireless surveillance, access control systems, intercoms, and burglar alarms. We are currently seeking a senior-level, highly experienced Access Control Technician to join our growing team.
🛠️ Position Overview
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can independently manage access control projects from start to finish, maintain high technical standards, and deliver excellent customer service.
✅ Technician Duties & Responsibilities
Install, service, and upgrade access control and intercom systems in residential and commercial environments
Manage installations from start to finish, including system programming, testing, and commissioning
Program and test access control systems to ensure proper functionality and reliability
Provide customer training on system use and best practices
Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement customized access control solutions
Operate company vehicles and jobsite equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)
Deliver flawless service and professional workmanship on every project
🎯 Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with access control and intercom systems
Experience with 2N intercom systems strongly preferred
Experience with Brivo and ICT access control systems is highly preferred
Proven ability to complete installations independently from start to finish, including programming
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Physically capable of:
Carrying a 20-ft ladder
Lifting up to 35 lbs
Operating scissor lifts and boom lifts
Experience with IP-based camera systems and burglar alarm systems (preferred)
Networking experience configuring:
Routers, switches, modems
Wireless access points
Network switches and NVRs (preferred)
Experience installing, servicing, and upgrading DVR/NVR hardware, software, and firmware (preferred)
