Three bedroom house looking to fill the third room.
Me: I am an arborist and keep pretty busy in the summer. I spend a lot of weekends camping, cycling, rafting, etc. When I'm home I kinda have my routine and downtime. I feel like I'm still 35, but my birth certificate says I'm about older than that.
The other roommate isn't home a lot, but he's clean, tidy, and courteous. Between work and other extracurricular activities, he's not home most of the week.
You: You're similar to us in that you're chill and easy going, tend towards a crunchy/hippy lifestyle (but you're still wash your body and don't cover up your raw stank with patchouli), preferably you're in your early-to-late-thirties or so, have an active social life, not married with kids, and not necessarily looking to nest up and make your forever home. I'd really like to find someone who has a creative spark, whether that be a green thumb, painting, building things, design, or some such thing. I've roomed with both guys and gals over the years so if you're one of those, then that's a great start!
Mines students have also historically been great roommates and this is an EXCELLENT SPOT FOR STUDENTS.
This home is best suited for someone who wants to live in one of Golden's last bastions of affordable living and has an inclination for an active outdoor lifestyle. I've always had good luck with people who fall into those categories and I'll do my best to keep it that way. I'm not afraid to say no to the wrong person for all our benefit.
You get extra bonus points if you're from the Golden area, but not necessary. The gentrification of Golden is squeezing out a lot of good people from our community and I'd very much like to accommodate someone who is already here, wants to stay, or would like to come back.
There's a small detached garage (used mainly as a shop, no parking), off street parking, a modest back yard with plenty of plant life (if you're a plant person or gardener then this is a great space). The house is just about a block or so from the base of South Table Mesa, 1.3 miles from the Mountain Toad Brewery, 2 miles to Coda Brewing, a two minute walk to Natural Grocers, and a 15-ish minute walk to Mines campus.
The room is medium sized in the backyard corner part of the house, not huge and not small and has a closet. It shares a bathroom with the other roommate.
Rent and utilities usually amount to approximately $1100 a month. We're looking for a good fit, someone we can mesh with comfortably. No lease necessary.
We are currently really trying to find someone who needs an approximate six month stay, but that's not a hard demand.
No pets, please.
The space, location, people and atmosphere are really good here. Be a good person and we can likely work something out!
