If you don’t need a large room and you like living with 2 friendly cats and a respectful, progressive/left-leaning flatmate in a late Victorian multi-family small apartment building that’s not operated by one of those big companies, this might be for you. Keep reading. It’s an 8x12’ private bedroom available with a built-in closet, corner bookshelf, and north-facing window that allows a nice amount of diffused/reflected sunlight.

The rest of the apartment is already fully furnished with a variety of cooking and cleaning appliances, tools, books, and more (though I’m open to suggestions and swapping out certain pieces of furniture such as dining room chairs, re-arranging wall art, etc.!).

Washer and dryer in the building, multiple porches and patio available for lounging, high-speed internet included. Utilities average less than $70/person/month. One shared off-street parking spot available shared between both of us, which can be negotiated on if you own a motor vehicle and end up being a good fit.

Right next to the 10, 24, and 15 bus lines, plus the Botanic Gardens, Cheesman, Congress, and City Park, and many restaurants and other businesses. It’s a beautiful neighborhood for walking or biking around and I’ve lived in it a long time, so the apartment also has a very home-y, lived-in feel.

I’m trying to keep this brief, but it’s important to know that I need someone I can really count on to pay their share of rent and utilities on time, and to get along with me and be skilled at honest communication. It’s an old building and small enough quarters that we can’t just avoid or ignore each other like strangers just because we met through an internet ad. Knowledge of your needs and the ability to express them in a healthy, grounded way are key.

So tell me about yourself, what your situation and hopes are, your pet peeves, what you liked or didn’t like about this ad, whatever aspects of your identity you think are important to share, and ask me whatever, and we’ll go from there.

Just a few things about me: I’m an “elder millennial” and love laughing about things back in the ‘90s. I like biking, camping, dancing, and reading lots of books. I can check the boxes of at least three letters in the alphabet soup “LGBTQIA+”.
