We are Ben, Brian, and Peter (+Django [Dog] and Motley [Ferret]) and are looking for one more guy to join us at our rental lease in Arvada starting ASAP. The Lease runs through July of 2026. We have been living here since July 2024 and have built quite a home together. This is a community living arrangement, and it's important to all of us that we have a strong sense of connection and communication between everyone. (More about community living at the bottom of the post.)
A little bit about the home. It’s a 4-bedroom home with 2.5 bathrooms. It’s located in west Arvada, overlooking a baseball diamond. It has a fenced-in backyard with multiple patios and some great landscaping. The landlord is fantastic and knows we are looking for one more—she will help us update the lease to get you on it.
We are renting out the basement room which is the 2nd largest room in the house. We also are open to renting out the small or medium bedroom and moving into the basement depending on what you think of hte rooms. This also comes with a garage space for parking your car. The basement room also has a half-bathroom without a shower, and the shower is shared with two others upstairs. We could also rent out the medium upstairs room which would be slightly cheaper ~875. We try to be very accommodating.
About us! Ben is 28 and is LPCC working at an animal assisted therapy center. Brian is 39 and is pursuing his pilots license at the local airport. Peter is 31 and still pursuing his masters degree with an intent to get his LPC. We all work non traditional hours and are often around the house.
None of us are big partiers. We will have the occasional drink or edible but do not allow smoking within the house. Ben is vegan. We also have a full library and board game collection (236+ games) and love to have the occasional game night. We are not constantly socializing but it’s pretty often that partners, friends, or family may come by. We always very openly communicate around this. It’s just nice to have a welcoming and warm household.
Community Living:
We are respectful and clean, and we try to really lean into collaborative living arrangements. We meet up once a month to do a general check-in and talk about anything going on within the house. We also are great about using social services and tend to use food stamps and food banks to bring in food for the entire household. Generally, we share almost all things within the household. We would love roommates who want to partake in this process with us (though it's not necessary).
The house is almost completely furnished, minus the room available. But even with that if you need certain pieces of furniture we may have extra available or easily can find furniture and household necessities at reasonable rates.
Rent for a single room is ~$800 -~$950 plus utilities depending on the room. We also work to keep these bills down as low as possible through mindful use and government support.
