This is an exceptional Deardorff 8x10 camera in superb condition. It was made in 1956. To look at the camera, you would think it was made last year. All of the metal work is bright and the wood is undamaged and the finish is all in good shape. The bellows is a recent replacement by the previous owner and appears to be made by Camera Bellows in England. The only negative is that a previous owner washed the ground glass and erased the grid lines. It is still an excellent ground glass with a fine grind.
Most Deardorffs have a ¼-20 tripod socket. This one has a 3/8-16 socket which is desirable for a large damera. The camera comes with an adapter bushing in case you want to use a ¼-20 tripod mount.
Being a late model, the camera has front swing. It also has two means for front rise and fall, front tilt -both axis tilt and base tilt- rear tilt, and rear swing.
Asking $3,750, plus shipping. I am located just outside Denver if you would like to pick up the camera.
