I had a female ferret named Phoebe and she passed away, due to old age. She was about 112 in ferret years. She is the dark eyed white in the photo. A dark eyed white is called a "DEW."
She is survived by her playmate, Estrella. Estrella is a masked sable. She is about 24 years old in ferret years. I am calculating about 12 ferret years to one human calendar year.
Estrella is now constantly between my legs, she is very lonely. I am sad too. I am wondering if there is a DEW (dark eyed white) out there somewhere that needs a good home. I have kept two ferrets for many years now. I have learned to keep them alive and well for a very, very long time.
I am looking for and hoping that there is a dark eyed white out there, somewhere (they are usually a bit hard of hearing) that could use a good ferret friend and a good ferret keeper who is always learning to learn. I would gladly adopt her.
Ferrets have had a hard time these last few years, their numbers diminished and they are just now going up. Finding a DEW for her is a challenge I have decided to take.
