Job Summary
Primary contact with external Design Teams:
Communicate and coordinate project design with Design Team members in completing design packages and changes arising during pre-construction. Design teams may include Facility Owner representatives, City and County project representatives, Property Owners, airport administration and others as appropriate.
Primary contact with General Contractor across multiple projects:
Create submittal schedules from specifications governing/regulatory agencies, PO’s, subcontracts and all project documents.
Review project submittals for field installation accuracy of Quality Assurance (QA).
Coordinate project requirements with Construction Team.
Communicate with General Contractor problems arising from construction installation.
Work with Management and Superintendent to identify change orders.
Process detail changes in design, schedules and change orders with appropriate owners, subcontractors and/or suppliers.
Confirm and ensure delivery dates with owners/suppliers/subcontractors are met.
Identify field installation for accuracy against design [Quality Control (QC)].
Assemble packets containing manufacturer’s Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Warranties for owners at close of project.
· Other duties as assigned.
General Competencies:
· Understand different types of work (electrical, mechanical, site/civil, concrete,).
Strong understanding of field operations and an aptitude for building complex projects.
Commitment to getting things done; effectively and efficiently.
· Calculate project document take-offs.
· Write formal letters to Owner and/or subcontractor(s).
· Attend meetings at company and site locations.
· Demonstrate leadership communication in sharing knowledge with others.
· Reliable and timely.
Technical Competencies:
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Excel
Must Know AutoCAD, P6, Unifier, Viewpoint, Bluebeam
· Valid driver’s license
Education and Experience:
· Undergraduate degree in construction management, project management, math or similar knowledge content
· Large Construction Experience preferred, not required.
