Ability Connection Colorado is seeking an energetic and passionate individual who has experience working with a diverse group of youth with disabilities in our rapidly expanding Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program (RAMP). The primary focus of the position will be working with a team of staff member to facilitate a strong mentoring, business advisory, school transition, job placement and job readiness program for at-risk youth and youth with disabilities. The RAMP program utilizes a best practice model of "Guidepost to Success," and Positive Youth Development model as a framework to provide career-focused mentoring. RAMP and it's support program RAMP X will use a combination of one-on-one, group, and peer mentoring, and training sessions with the goals of increasing career preparation, developing work-readiness skills, leadership and job support to youth between the ages of 13-24. The RAMP mentoring model utilizes a combination of group, peer, and one-on-one mentoring to promote the successful transition of RAMP youth to continued learning opportunities, employment, or independent living (depending upon age). Spanish speaking or experience working with a diverse group of youth in marginalized communities a plus
-Bachelors Degree in Child & Adolescent
-Three years working with youth
-Familiarity and experience with youth mentoring programs development, juvenile justice, education
-Demonstrated ability to manage the project in multiple sites or another related field.
-Strong attention to detail
-Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred
-Ability to multi-task
-CO DL insurable by CDOT
-Experience with Microsoft word, excel, power point, data entry,
-Must be comfortable speaking in a group
-Strong knowledge of youth current youth trends preferred
