Evans near Monaco

(google map)

We have eight so far. What if I told you I may have a sponsor soon? Would that make a difference? The Co-Op can be set up before we find a space and spend anything. Just need people.

Thanks to Sin,Tad, Mike, Selena, Jason, Al, and Pancho for responding. I have found some cheaper places, one for $1200 a month. Do the math. If anyone is interested and sees a location let me know. Tad has a space and I have talked to him. I put an image of his space in this ad. He said he just wants to see it used. Maybe we can get started soon if we can get some MORE MUSICIANS....

Are you looking for an affordable practice space? Don't want to keep setting up your equipment? Tired of seeing all the ads on Craigslist like: drummer looking for a band, singer songwriter looking for bass and drummer, lead guitar player looking for a band. Are you one of those people looking for other musicians? I am.

I have an idea to form a Denver Musicians CO-OP. I propose we(future members) get together and lease a space that can be used for practice space and performance space. Here is a Craigslist ad for a prospective space show contact info .html

I don't know how long the ad will be there, so check it out. This is a good example even if we can't make it happen here. There is also another place at 788 S. Broadway, but I haven't heard back from the realtor.

If you do the math, the lease on the first property is $2700 lease plus utilities, let's say $3000 a month.
30 musicians $100 month
35 musicians $85 month
40 musicians $75 month
If you count a Band as a member we would need to get to 30 bands to break even.
I guess we could have a mix of both. I know three hours at 15 bucks an hour between 4 people is a little cheaper, but if you do that 4 times a month, about the same with no benefits.
You get the idea. We can build out a couple of practice rooms in addition to a performance stage, so more than one group could practice at the same time, and have a schedule set up.
You might say that is alot of people to share the space, well 4-5 band members 30 people that's like six bands.

All members have equal voice and vote on how the CO-OP works, its Mission Statement, scheduling, performing, security, etc.
