Large-format Studer A800 2” multitrack tape recorder being sold as-is for service or restoration. Unit includes 16-track headstack installed, with an additional 24-track headstack included for testing/parts. Heads appear to be in excellent condition with minimal wear.
Machine powers on and shows partial logic response on channels 1–16, with some LED activity on switching. Channels 17–24 are currently non-responsive. Transport and locator displays are not lighting up. Some channel repro cards have failed during testing and will require attention. Transport power supply cover is included but arrived loose without mounting hardware.
Very heavy-duty professional studio machine (approx. 800 lbs). Ideal for experienced techs, studios, or collectors familiar with analog tape systems.
