Nice Tele or 'T-style' guitar. Most likely early to mid 2000's manufacture date and most likely made in China. No serial number to reference. Not missing the serial #, Peavey didn't put one on the headstock. Could be on the heel of the neck or inside the neck joint but I'm not taking the neck of to see.
There where U.S versions but I'm pretty sure given the pickup configuration this isn't one. The price reflects that.
I saw this guitar here on CL a few years ago. I'm a sucker for electric guitars with glossy maple necks, especially with
a black finish. I didn't think I'd like the look of the roasted maple neck but was quite surprised when I saw it in person.
Very subtle very nice look.
The fit and finish is excellent with very little evidence of wear. Very light scuffs on the pick guard which is what it's for.
No marks on the back. The guitar is in outstanding condition and most importantly it plays as good as it looks. Neck is straight
and on the thin side. Smooth and fast. Not thick and chunky. No fret bite on your fingers. Compared to my U.S made 'G&L'
the body is slightly smaller and the headstock isn't quite as long so the guitar has a nice compact feel to it. Completely solid body.
Not chambering for weight reduction but Not Les Paul heavy either. Nice balance.
Controls are all smooth and quiet. Stays in tune. Interesting that I have Mexican Strat from 2001 and it has the exact
same tuners on it. Don't forget that Eddie Van Halen's original Wolfgang guitars were Peavey's.
No longer need two tele-style guitars. The Peavey would be the less expensive of the two. $190 takes it.
I also have a little Marshall and Peavey amp for sale. Use the "more ads by this user link" for the details.
Either amp would make a nice compliment to the guitar and I would make a deal for both.
