KMD GS90D Guitar Combo Amp
You don’t see these too often! Rare, vintage guitar amp that came out of a storage unit that belonged to a longtime player who recently passed. This was one of his amps. I plugged it in and it works just fine. Made in the USA and has a 12” Eminence speaker. I found a similar one listed on reverb (for $280 with shipping) and copied the information. Price firm and not interested in trades.
. Here's a rare find from the 1980's. KMD amps were originally made in England and were very expensive tube designs. They were used by Bon Jovi and other 80's bands. Like other companies, they offered a less expensive line of solid state amps that were made in Canada for the North American marketplace. This is one of those.
You get the classic 1-12 combo with two totally independent channels. Each channel has volume, gain, 3 band eq, and reverb control. There is a master volume for the amp overall. There is also an effects loop on the front panel.
This amp sounds warmer than your typical solid state amp. Maybe I am used to hearing modern modelers, but it really sounds very musical. Some scratchiness in the pots as you might expect from a piece of older gear. This is a great-sounding and versatile amp. I would
