This is a finely crafted, American made 1997-98 GUILD STARFIRE 2, natural finish . . in Excellent! condition. These rare examples were from the shop in Westerly, Rhode Island; NOT the latter-day, knock-about Chinese Fender/Guild Guitars. This is a Full Hollow Body guitar; I bought it for Jazz voicings, similar to a Gibson ES175. The Neck/F’board is also very similar to the ‘175 ( short scale ).
All the wood is in near-Mint Condition, with the only nick in the lacquer on the back of the neck ( behind the 1st Fret ). The Frets have been professionally dressed, with about 90% of the nickel-silver present. The Ebony-based Tune-O-Matic Bridge is a recent replacement; the best fit was from Gretsch Musical Inst’s. The Case is a very well fitting TKL, not original. This Guitar is in Boulder
