As stated “superior” quality student violin, fully worked over and setup. This violin is one of the better sounding student level violins I’ve had come through my hands. It has an invisible crack to the top plate, which is cleated and has no impact on the quality of the violin. There are other repaired cracks on the maple back as well, as I’m not the first person to work on this instrument. This is a case of the damage is cosmetic. Attractive as well as outstanding sounding, this violin is a bargain for its tone.
