I have a beautiful, refurbished, 3/4 scale, vintage (1969 Summer of Love) E.R. Pfretzschner violin for sale. It turned out great! Your child’s musical journey starts today and this is the violin to take them there.
I’ve given this violin a gorgeous new finish to play in style. Sporting a new golden custom blended color spirit varnish, this violin is dressed and polished for show and performance. I’ve fully worked this violin over, adjusting nearly all aspects of the setup and finish.
This violin has been played a lot and it was obvious by the wear which [was] present before I refurbished it and so it has opened up acoustically and has a rich warm tone with plenty of sustain.
Features this violin boasts include:
Fully refinished with no scratches, nicks or blemishes.
A darkened top and back, water-stained to increase the aged appearance of the top and chatoyance of the flames on the back and sides.
A fully carved, precision fitted bridge, w a titanium bridge protector on the E string.
A new composite tailpiece with builtin fine-tuners ensures a proper setup and intonation (308mm - 51mm a true 1 - 1/6 ratio)
A new Bakelite chin-rest with chin-rest key (attached to the bracket of the tailpiece just where you’ll look to find it). You can see the key in a photo.
New D’addario Prelude strings.
A properly, freshly resurfaced fingerboard, heavily seasoned for richness and longevity.
Has one of those old fashioned pitch-pipe style end-pins which for the life of me I have never been able to make sound a whistle on any of them I’ve blown into, no matter how I blow into it — but it has one. These end pins are supposed to whistle an A when blown like a bottle — again I’ve never accomplished getting one to sound any note at all.
Comes with a plush-lined, hard-shell case, a 3/4 bow, which will require rehairing or replacement. Yours to own and start your journey for: $350.
*I will throw in a full kit for, $100 including a brand new (never used) 3/4 carbon fiber bow, a torte orchestral tonal color mute, a heavy rubberized practice-mute, a microfiber cloth for cleaning, rosin, a new (never used, in box) Everest shoulder-rest and a small sponge case-humidifier.
