It’s been my personal violin up until now. Prior to Kermit (my green violin for sale) I had yet to find a violin with better tone, warmth and sustain. Out of dozens of violins that I’ve owned and played, this one — until now — was far superior to the rest. It is very resonant with immense projection while having a character of tone which dwarfed the rest of my violin collection. Alas, it has been demoted by Kermit the violin (also for sale).
The label reads “Custom Hand Built 2004 by Master Luthier Wagiding”.
Is it a custom build? Possibly in a loose sense of the term, custom. It is however, definitely a high caliber violin which came out of a factory (mass produced) but was “built by a master luthier” in the sense that a master luthier was likely in control of the operation.
This violin has no structural issues, playability issues or damage to speak of. It’s a great violin for an intermediate to advanced player. It will make a great step-up violin for conservatory, college or performance or a top quality violin to start your musical journey off right.
Features this violin boasts include:
A professionally hand carved Superieur Despiau France 3 🌳 🌳 🌳 bridge. Three trees means big sound, sharp responsiveness and high resistance to warping,
A Stradpet titanium tailpiece with single fine-tuner [on the E string],
A Stradpet titanium tail “gut” string, noticeably more volume and projection while balancing tone — a great investment on this violin. The Stradpet is also super light weight which helps the violin resonate, increasing the volume and projection while also being stylish and posh,
A 32mm SAS chin rest. I can switch the chin rest if you prefer a shorter one,
D’addario Helicore strings,
Knilling Perfection, Planetary tuning pegs — coupled with the Stradpet tailpiece, makes this violin user friendly and easy to tune,
A top-shelf soundpost for maximum punch,
A fully flamed one piece back, sides, neck and scroll — very gorgeous,
Tight straight flawless grained spruce top, graduated to perfection, giving this violin a superior, warm and dark tone,
Freshly resurfaced fingerboard, oiled for richness and longevity,
Comes with a case and bow. The case is a real leather briefcase style case with a built-in hygrometer and string holder.
Yours to take on your musical journey today for: $1,000 (firm) — you can’t buy one like this elsewhere for anywhere near that for what this violin is and the upgrades alone on this violin costed nearly as much as the selling price — don’t miss out.
I can include other accessories, like mutes, humidifiers, cleaning products, peg compound and much more for an extra charge. I’ve done the shopping for you so if you need something just ask, I probably have one.
