1968 Gibson Hummingbird in excellent playing condition. Plenty of cosmetic issues as seen, but doesn’t affect tone or playability. Saddle height is on the low side, but has room to go lower. I’m the second owner and this has been my favorite to play. Sounds smooth and wonderful it’s hard to explain. Lots of high overtones present and huge but mellow tone. Has the desirable 1 11/16” nut and is standard scale 25.5” length for that extra zing.
For maintenance, had a neck reset and new truss rod in 2004-05 along with a bridge replacement. Fret job about 10 years ago. The tuners were swapped out before I had her, probably sometime in the 80’s. Recently set up so action is low and easy with no buzzing.
Structural wise, still has the original bridge plate that looks great, no belly issues, the truss nut turns nicely with plenty of room to go, the neck is straight with no signs of warping, and the braces are intact and healthy.
No electronics, hard shell case included.
Cosmetic issues and low saddle taken into account for asking price of $2000. Cash or Zelle. No shipping. Local deal only.
