Gulbransen Registering Piano for sale. Also known as a player piano.
This piano was passed to me from my grandmother. Despite my best hopes, my kids are not as enamored with it as I was. I think they indulged me when they were little, but now that they're teens it is just sitting. It seems such a shame because I know someone loves these. It was given to my grandmother by her aunt who was the original owner. Our best timeline is that it was bought in the late 1920s or early 1930s.
The player still works, the keys are all in good condition. The case is in good shape with no major gouges or damages. Especially when you consider it is 80-90 years old.
I last had it tuned approximately 3 years ago when I was still able to convince my youngest to take lessons. I had the player refreshed (some lining that's really expensive and I cannot remember what it's called!) approximately 5 years ago. I can give you the name of the tuner and the player repair guy if you're interested. They're brothers, it was a family interest they were raised with.
I have player rolls, too. I actually found the original Gulbransen Instructional Rolls (1, 2, 3, 4) in the box of other rolls. I also have 37 other rolls. I'll try to include that list in the ad.
This would require you to move it. When I had it brought in to our home, I hired piano movers and considering how heavy it is and they did not damage my floors, I felt it as money well spent!
Here's the thing, I know this is going to be a special person who wants this. I am no giving this away so please, don't offer to "help" by just taking it from me.
