"When I started looking for a piano, I was a bit wary of Craigslist, but I also wasn't able to afford the prices at a brick-and-mortar store. I'd seen a few pianos that looked decent online, but it's always so hard to tell. Going to see them in person and playing them is helpful, but I'm just a player--I'm not a tech. I have no idea what types of issues to look for (other than obvious problems that you find while playing).
Then I saw a post about multiple pianos available--ranging from $385 and up. Not only that, the pianos would be reconditioned, fixed and delivered for free. To top it all off, the proceeds go to an incredible cause. I thought it might be too good to be true, but, luckily, it wasn't.
My fiancé and I spent a couple of hours with Priscilla and Ray and learned so much about pianos. They let me play every piano to my heart's content and really are the most gracious couple.
I found the piano that was right for me (at the right price), and I was so impressed when they delivered it. It had a few stains and minor aesthetic issues when I first saw it, but I was just so happy to have a piano again that I didn't mind how it looked. But Priscilla made it look beautiful! Not only did I get a beautiful piano, I also got one that plays beautifully, too, thanks to Ray's fixes.
