Kawai’s GE1 was the smallest of the well-regarded mid-level GE series. With its distinctive blue felt, it is a classic baby grand size at 5’ 1”. Intended mostly for the private pianist as a home practice instrument, it still found its way into the institutional world of teachers, schools, and churches that had smaller spaces, often as a secondary instrument.
This GE1 was kept in good condition by its owners and will make a fine choice for a beginner to intermediate player looking for a small, responsive, very high quality preowned Japanese baby grand for under $9k.
