All American Seasonings, a family owned organization that has succeeded into its third generation and continues to thrive is looking for a Food Manufacturing Plant Manager-Swing Shift to be located at our 70,000 square foot facility in Denver, Colorado. Our Food Manufacturing Plant Manager-Swing shift drives continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. You will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The successful candidate will have the key skills to develop processes that will maximize safety, quality and productivity.

This is not a desk and metrics position, this is an on your feet, hands on, interacting with colleagues to resolve daily issues type of role. You will be expected to be on the production floor almost 80% of the time. We are NOT
a fully automated plant, we do custom blends that require change overs, cleaning and allergen testing. We are a medium sized company which requires constant communication, excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills combined with a desire to a make a difference every day.


Responsibilities and accountability include, but not limited to:

Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Responsible for the day to day production floor operations, demonstrated success with running five (5) or more continuous production lines.
Meet, maintain and create records of production metrics
Knowledge of running a facility complaint with governmental regulations such as OSHA, FDA, and food safety agencies such as BRC and SQF mandatory.
Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
Allocate resources and effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
Commit and adhere to plant safety procedures
Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer well thought out and equitable solutions
Supervise production of quality products efficiently and safely while meeting deadlines.
Clear and regular communication with Plant leads and other department supervisors.
Develop production plans, schedules and measure productivity against production goals.
Lead improvement activities and verify impact to key daily / monthly goals.
Communicate daily / weekly or monthly results to the CEO as necessary.
Drive all aspects of operations to achieve safety, quality, food safety, delivery, downtime and inventory targets.
Control and minimize overtime labor costs, maintenance / repair costs, downtime and product re-work.
Ensure compliance with all customer, company and government standards.
Provide training, direction, development, evaluation, coaching and leadership to direct reports.
Maintain good employee, corporate and community relations.
Coordinate with other department supervisors to ensure proper purchasing, material handling, maintenance, accounting, quality assurance and inventory control activities and procedures.
Ensure the integrity and execution of the Safety / Food Safety / Quality programs
Utilize established operational tools to effectively and efficiently lead problem-solving sessions within the group.
Work with leaders to develop work processes and technical solutions for the day to day management of Operations.
Mandatory requirements:

BS/BA degree desired; or Technical degree and/or comparable work experience as Operations Manager, Production Superintendent, or Plant Manager in food processing, or dry food ingredient manufacturing.
Strong customer-centric focus. Experience working with Sales and Purchasing to define customer expectations and deadlines, establish and help build/maintain strong relationships.
Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to develop concise and persuasive business advice.
Bilingual English and Spanish is highly desirable, but not required.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the skills to relate well throughout all levels of the company.
Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts to implement best solution strategies.
Work within the guidelines set forth by the company to administer plant policies and procedures.
Build and maintain succession plans for oneself and direct subordinates.
Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
Experience with diverse food industry products, especially within the shelf stable categories
Ideal candidates must have demonstrated expertise in managing a plant compliant with food safety standards that are customary within the food industry and mandated by government regulations. Including but not limited to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) management system required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the standards set by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF).
Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving
Experience overseeing direct reports
MS Office (Excel, MSQuery, Access, PowerPoint) capabilities required
Demonstrated strong written communication and presentation skills required
Experience working globally highly desirable.
Self motivated and directed
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 pounds
