We are seeking an experienced Production Lead to support our Production Manager and Supervisors in overseeing daily operations within our Meat Plant department. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with experience in meat processing, production scheduling, employee development, and food manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
• Lead and coordinate production employees in meat cutting, trimming, grinding, weighing, shaping, and receiving operations
• Enforce company policies, food safety standards, and workplace safety regulations
• Coordinate activities with supervisors, captains, and department managers
• Assist with production scheduling and workforce planning
• Assign duties and inspect work for quality, accuracy, and compliance
• Adjust work procedures as needed to meet production demands
• Train, coach, and support employees to maximize performance and productivity
• Address employee concerns and help resolve workplace issues
• Analyze and resolve production problems to maintain efficient operations
• Review records, inventory levels, production costs, and product quality
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability
• Ensure timely completion of production goals and workflow requirements
• Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
• Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of experience cutting and processing meat products
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a meat processing or food production environment preferred
• Basic computer skills and data entry experience
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack and/or forklift
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written English instructions, policies, and safety procedures
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Exposure to moving machinery and production equipment
• Loud manufacturing environment
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced production setting
