We are seeking a fabricator for one of our clients in Aurora, CO!
A Light Fixture Fabricator builds custom lighting from raw materials (metals, glass, etc.), interpreting blueprints to cut, shape, and assemble components using tools like grinders, presses, ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety and design specs for unique, decorative, or architectural lighting products.
Key Responsibilities:
Read & Interpret: Understand technical drawings, shop plans, and CAD designs.
Material Handling: Work with various materials (copper, brass, steel, aluminum).
Cutting & Shaping: Operate saws, shears, CNC machines, rollers, and presses to cut and form metal. (Amada Press Break)
Finishing: Grind, sand, polish, and apply finishes to meet high-quality standards.
Assembly: Assemble fixtures from raw components to finished product, potentially integrating electrical/low-voltage parts.
Quality Control: Ensure accuracy, adherence to specifications, and safety standards (OSHA).
Maintenance: Keep work area clean, organized, and maintain tools/equipment.
Able to read and write in English
Material Handler experience
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Metal fabrication, skilled trades, or cabinetry (preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency with power/hand tools, CNC, blueprint reading, basic math.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to work independently, good communication.
Education: High school diploma/GED usually required; some roles benefit from design/industrial design background.
