Join the Mission: Penetrant & Mechanical Inspector (Level II)
Davis Manufacturing – Precision Machining for Complex Geometries
At Davis Manufacturing, we don’t just build aerospace parts—we solve geometric puzzles that others won't touch.
Specializing in the machining of complex geometries and difficult-to-cut alloys, we are a trusted partner for mission-critical components in space, defense, and commercial aviation. As we move through 2026, the demand for lightweight, high-performance "hog outs" and monolithic structures has never been higher. We need an expert Level II Penetrant & Mechanical Inspector to ensure these intricate designs meet the uncompromising standards of flight safety.

The Role: Why Your Work Matters
Inspecting complex geometries requires more than just following a checklist—it requires a deep understanding of how form and function intersect.
• NDT Mastery: Perform High-Sensitivity Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (FPI) on intricate, multi-axis machined parts to detect microscopic discontinuities in aluminum, titanium, and advanced alloys.
• Complex Dimensional Inspection: Use your mechanical expertise to navigate tight-tolerance features, internal diameters, and compound angles using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Expertly read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T standards for "mill-heavy" contoured structural components.
• The Final Word: Make critical accept/reject decisions for components destined for the world’s most advanced aircraft and spacecraft.
What You Bring to Davis Manufacturing
• Certified Expertise: Current Level II Certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) per NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
• The Geometric Edge: 2+ years of experience inspecting complex, high-precision machined aerospace components.
• Analytical Mindset: The ability to apply critical thinking to troubleshoot non-conformances in non-standard part geometries.
• Future-Ready: Familiarity with or interest in 2026 trends like Model-Based Definition (MBD) and digital twin validation.
Why Davis Manufacturing?
• Advanced Technology: Join a shop utilizing state-of-the-art 4 and 5-axis CNC mills to produce parts that define the cutting edge of manufacturing.
• Strategic Growth: We are committed to digital transformation, aiming for CMMC Level 2 certification in Q2 2026.
• A Culture of Excellence: Work in an environment in Wheat Ridge, CO where quality is respected as the ultimate deliverable.
• Growth Path: Direct access to Level III mentorship and training in additional NDT methods.
