Tube frame Buell from the Y2K era. Larger valves in the Thunderstorm heads. 1200cc Harley-Davidson engine otherwise, amazingly simple and durable. No oil leaks. Newer battery with trickle charger, kept plugged in. Hydraulic lifters on valves, no adjustments. Belt drive, no chain lube. Fresh oil and trans fluid. Seat is fine. Some carbon fiber, some light scratches. Speedometer only on this model, did not have a tach. It doesn't need one with the huge amount of torque. Carburetor was standard, not fuel injection on this model, no cooling fan that some models had. 5 speed transmission.
It's simple, with standard handlebars, I've had 60 mpg on a trip. Weighs about 475#. Single disc front, single disc rear. Always garaged.
I have the letter "U" missing from the gas tank. I don't have the lower decal for the right side of the tank.
Want a Sportster? This one is hard to beat for a standard bike with good handling and virtually no maintenance.
This is the time of year to put some miles in!!
