I’m an experienced, effective, and empathetic LSAT specialist with over 10 years of experience teaching the LSAT. I tutor full-time, and the LSAT makes up the vast majority of what I tutor.

My highest official score is a 177 on the recent July 2019 LSAT, which I took to get an inside look at the digital test. I work hard to maintain solid skills on the LSAT so that I can hold students to a high caliber of logical thinking–but also never fault a student for not knowing something yet. My students come to me at all starting points, from the 120s and 130s to the 160s shooting for the 170s.

Previous students describe me as:
  • Professional
  • Patient
  • Good at communicating
  • Thorough
  • Individualized

We work first on the areas that will have the biggest payoff for score gains, whether that be LG, LR, or RC. After each session, you'll receive a detailed study plan for the individual practice you should do between sessions. I'm a strong believer in going through your LSAT prep in stages: working first on the foundations, then incorporating accuracy practice, then timed practice. Always with a strong emphasis on learning as much as possible from each question you encounter so that you can apply those lessons to future questions.

Recent students have raised their LSAT scores by 5, 10, even 20+ points and have achieved the scores needed to make themselves highly competitive at their desired law school, whether that be a local law school or a T14 school. And I always love hearing back from students when the payoff for all that LSAT prep comes in the form of tens of thousands of scholarship dollars!

I also review personal statements and other admissions documents upon request. This work has gotten my students admissions offers with scholarships. I've also helped students receive prestigious fellowships and awards, sometimes with significant stipends.

Testimonials

Before working with Carrie I took an LSAT practice test and scored a 120. I was down in the dumps and knew I needed to increase my score dramatically to be accepted into law school. Even though my initial score was low I still had set high expectations for myself. I set a goal to improve my score to high 160's range. Carrie has helped me tremendously. During our first meeting she assured me that with her extensive experience tutoring students on the LSAT that if I put in the work I would be able to improve my score dramatically. I have been working with Carrie for about two months now. I scored a 158 on my last practice test and feel confident with more practice and tutoring I will be able to achieve my goal. I cannot recommend Carrie enough if you are looking for a skilled, patient, and knowledgeable tutor.

Carrie is the best tutor I have ever had. Her attention to detail, and organization made studying for the LSAT easier. There are so many amazing things that I could say about Carrie, but the one thing that stood out the most is that she really wants you to understand and succeed. She consistently checks up and responds fast. She explains everything very thoroughly, and makes the LSAT fun and enjoyable. I recommend her to anyone studying for the lsat or any other standardized test because I believe that she is truly the best person to have on your side when studying for any test this big. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done in helping me succeed and for helping me strive towards a goal that I’ve had since I was 8.

Over the course of my learning experience with Carrie, she was able to communicate subject matter in an easy to understand way. She has a fantastic attitude, and was very patient. Her thorough breakdown of material made it easier to digest and understand, making me feel more confident leading up to the test date. In a somewhat short time frame that we had until the date of my test, she was able to work efficiently with me to improve my [LSAT] score from previous scores immensely. Carrie is also extremely adaptable with flexibility in time and scheduling, accommodating changes I had requested. She also topped it off with helpful tips! I would 100% use Carrie as a tutor again for future matters.

Carrie is an amazing tutor! Her lesson plans are extremely helpful. She tailored them specifically to meet my needs – focusing on areas I need to improve on while trying to master areas I am already scoring ok. Throughout my time tutoring with her I have learned so much, not just how to take the test but also how to be methodical with my remaining time. Her insights into the test, such as finishing only specific reference questions on reading comp passages I ran out of time and prioritizing some passages over others has truly made a difference in my reading comp section. Before I would score about 8/27 ( I know it was pretty bad.) However, I have now gotten to 18/27 (huge improvement). She has also helped me improve my logical reasoning section (from 12/25 to 18/25.) So far I’ve been able to raise my score by 12 points on the LSAT from a 148 to 160. With one more month till the LSAT I’m sure I’ll be able to pick it up even more. I would recommend Carrie to anyone studying for the LSAT.

I found Carrie at a crucial time in my studying. I had bad experiences with tutors before and Carrie helped me gain back my trust in tutors. She helped me learn from the beginning and helped me make my knowledge about the LSAT even stronger. She is extremely patient and goes through so much in one study session and has plenty of material to help study with. If you’re considering a tutor I strongly would recommend her. She is extremely responsive and when schedules conflict she does her best to reschedule and goes above and beyond. She made studying enjoyable and she has a ton of knowledge! I am so glad I found her! 15 out of 10 stars!

I don’t know where to begin to thank you for the help you provided. I was unsure of tutoring at first, since there was only a week leading up to my test at the time we met. However, your tips regarding strengthen/weaken, sufficient/necessary, and must be true questions really helped me to hone in on the problems I was having with LR. You taught me how to study the stimulus carefully, focusing in on key words that can make or break certain answer choices. Due to this, I believe LR was my best section of the three. Tutoring with you was all I needed to push me over the hump. I’m proud to say I jumped from 151 on my last LSAT to 159 on this most recent one. I’m now in a far greater competitive position for the schools I’m planning on applying to. At the risk of sounding redundant, words can’t describe how grateful I am for your help.

January went WONDERFULLY!! I got a 153, which was within my target range and sets me up a lot better for my schools. I agree with the other students that it was. a bit challenging, specifically in the games section. Had the games section been a bit easier I think I would have gotten around a 155. However, had I not worked with you on reasoning a 153 wouldn't have even been an option. So, thank you so much for all your strategies, practice sets, and overall help!

Carrie helped me identify what skills I need and how to strategize when studying for LSAT Logic Games. She was very helpful and provided me with resources I can use to continue practicing. She was punctual and professional and I found it easy to communicate with her.

Carrie has been an outstanding tutor to work with. She is very patient and is able to find my weak areas and assist in building my skills where they are needed most. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
