My blue and grey Schwinn adult tricycle was stolen from my backyard in the Vista Village mobile home park between 9 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and 9 am on Wednesday, Nov. 19. It's old but in decent condition, with a large basket and a chain lock around the rear axle. It's missing the cap from one of the handlebars and had a small chain attached to the basket with a blue carabiner. It also had a rainbow fabric strip, but this may have been removed. The left rear tire has a slow leak and may go flat soon.
In its place, the thief left a bright blue Electra Hawaii 1-speed cruiser with white flower accents and blue fenders. This bike has a red paint scratch on the rear fender and a bit of silver duct tape on the seat post, but no registration sticker or ID. The Electra's seat is set too low even for my 5'2" frame, so I believe the thief is short, possibly a woman or even a child. Unfortunately my security camera was on the fritz and my dog (who was not in the trike basket when it was stolen) didn't bark, so the thief may be very sneaky as well.
I'll make another post for the Electra as a found bike. If it has also been stolen, I'd like to return it to its owner.
