Pay Level: AUX/TECH 02 ($23.30-$27.51 per hour)

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
More than one year of experience in receiving.
Experience with oversized trucks, vans, forklifts and floor jacks desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must wear steel-toed boots.
Ability to operate oversized trucks and equipment to perform duties.
Ability to assemble new furniture.
Ability to check orders for quality and accuracy.
Ability to move furniture or equipment for delivery or pick up.
Ability to anticipate potential hazards.
Ability to effectively problem-solve.
English language skills, bilingual desired.
Basic mathematical skills.
Personal computer and keyboarding skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel in a positive and cooperative manner.
Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
Ability to read, understand and interpret policies and procedures, laws, rules and instructions.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to pass various pre-employment background screenings.
Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, building and department procedures.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Colorado driver’s license.
BOCES Safety Training Certificate required within 60 days of hire.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain communications by:
a. Meeting with supervisor and/or District staff, e.g., projects, District needs.
b. Being accessible via District communication devices.
c. Responding to requests submitted electronically.
2. Manage District resources by:
a. Pulling, filing, packaging, and setting up orders for delivery or pickup.
b. Loading and unloading trucks for deliveries, e.g., pallets, semi-trucks.
c. Delivering/retrieving materials to facilities, e.g., perishables, furniture, bulk items, mail.
d. Assembling products, e.g. furniture, kitchen equipment.
e. Recycling of outdated and/or damaged materials from warehouse inventory, e.g., textbooks, furniture.
3. Maintain District resources by:
a. Receiving/processing materials and accurately recording warehouse inventory.
b. Coding materials, e.g., barcode text books, food item lot number, fixed assets.
c. Rotating dated materials.
d. Moving and/or replacing assets throughout facilities, e.g., classroom/office moves.
4. Maintain District Safety by:
a. Adhering to District guidelines and procedures.
b. Complying with federal, state and local codes and regulations, e.g. OSHA guidelines, safe food procedures.
c. Abiding by procedures for operating equipment, e.g. forklift, electrical jack.
d. Ensuring proper functionality of assigned vehicle.
e. Participating in required professional development.
5. Provide services to the District by:
a. Completing work orders as received.
b. Providing courier services.
c. Staging District and community events.
d. Performing other tasks as assigned.
6. Maintain a high level of productivity by cross training within the department.
7. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality of any information regarding students, personnel and all job-related matters.
